This fanart is based on Mipha's early design where she was going to look like she did in the initial designs until it was changed to the design we all know.
Wondering if this should be tagged as konpaku_youmu_(ghost). Judging by this artist's other works, the Youmu on the left is how the ghost half looks in human form.
I 100% didn't start munching on some food and saying out loud the part where she's eating the carrot just to figure out how to "translate" it. Nuh-huh. That ain't me.
I was just thinking about this artist's interpretation of their animal versions when I saw the next episode preview. I hope he keeps his own original designs though, since I like how they look and they have their own appeal.
