Nidoking can work independently, but Nidoqueen has a moderately powerful attack that can become a real threat... if you can have at least one nidoking on the bench.
Grass decks (which include videogame bug-types) in genetic apex tended to have a lot of healing synergies. Butterfree gives 20 hp to every member of your party every turn for free, and erika gives 50 hp - the strongest heal in the game - to a grass pokemon you own. Venusaur EX here is kitted out with every healing support in genetic apex, which - combined with it's 4-energy attack - can give it up to 160 healing in a single turn. And venusaur's one of the very few pokemon with enough hp to ever need that.
Wigglytuff EX is the go-to sleep user in pocket. you get hit by it's attack, you're sleeping, period. but if you flip a heads while asleep, your pokemon can immediately wake up... possibly rendering the sleep pointless.
And Charizard EX has the strongest consistent attack in the game. Celebi can occasionally hit even harder, but charizard is guaranteed.
