I mean what do we expect when the only ones pushing the idea of Bridget being a woman are those who's accounts show they fetishise female characters... Years pass and people will continue to try and deny they found a feminine man attractive, even going as far to adopt Disney's view that canon is "whatever is new even if it contradicts prior information that has been established"
So does the Strive route where Bridget joyfully and unapologetically comes out not... count as establishing canon?
Because it seems like the consistent principle being applied here is "anything that confirms the existence of trans women is noncanon, and also that Japan has no conception of trans people." Which, I'll reiterate, Japan has its own trans culture. This isn't a foreign culture polluting Japan; this is Japanese people coming to their own conclusions, and it turns out that when you let people do that, many of them will be transgender!

I have good memories of snacking on this stuff, too. Here in Washington state, it's gotten easier to find Pocky than ever these days.
