The artist might've had the original Fullmetal Alchemist's opening 1 as the reference because this really looks like that sequence where Winry is waking up in her bed with the same pose.
Sonic Adventure 2 came out (and ostensibly takes place) in the 90's. It is established that Shadow was in stasis for 50 years prior to the events of the game, which would put his time on the ARK sometime during the 1940's. I wonder what song she's playing.
The original release date was 2001, so early 50s assuming game timeline. Could be Maria's a fan of classic rock and roll.
...buuuuuuut this is also a scene reference to the movie which is contemporary to the 2020s, so that gives us an extra 20-ish years of music to play with. Could be anything!
