Is it just me that misses his work from back then, before he really picked up doing NSFW stuff?
Don't get me wrong, there's nothing bad with doing NSFW, but it just felt like there was a bit more to his work rather than full-on 100% copy-pasting everything he's previously done. That, and also what he's actually used to draw before was just endearing and nice to see. I dunno, I might just be crazy.
From left to right, the names of these girls are: Kawazu Yuri, Sakuya Ayame, Yoshino Sazanka (top), Koudaiji Erika (bottom), Kasumi Renge, Usuzumi Hinageshi
Just one look and I already liked this Sheffield better than the AL version. Konishi knows how to do designs.
Fun fact: There were trolls on the Japanese internet mocking Azur Lane fans by saying that the Azur Lane character of the same name would become outdated, but that didn't work out and he was laughed at by KanColle haters. Additionally, the character was criticized for getting the barrel length wrong, something that even Azur Lane didn't do. As a result, the Japanese internet was bashing the character, saying things like "Isn't this character just a fake Sheffield?"
Not to mention that China is notorious for making big shows of their their supposed new technologies, but then they quickly break down, fizzle out, or spontaneously combust.
I can feel the comments will be nothing new compare to what we can see 14 years ago like some "stolen technology" "copycat" s**t.
China is both a leading nation in certain fields of technological development, such as material science, and also a leader in having a government run espionage program focused heavily on the theft of technological developments of other nations and their businesses to strip away their technological and economic edge. It's not surprising China would develop something like this, but how much is home developed and how much of it was built through technology theft we'll never know and as such will always cast a negative light on their developments because of it.
