zastava yugo
A car manufactured by Zastava Automobiles from 1980 until 2008. Unlike previous Zastava cars, such as the Zastava 750/850, which were foreign models made under license, the Yugo was notably designed by Zastava with Fiat support. From 1988, it would also named the Zastava Koral.
In the mid-80s, the Yugo would be exported abroad with help from Malcolm Bricklin, competing with other Eastern cars being exported at the time, such as the Polski Fiat 126p and Skoda Favorit. The Yugo would end up acquiring a reputation as the "worst car of all time" in the West, unhelped by foreign models having more faults than the domestic models, while it is remembered fondly in former Yugoslavia.
