x-men vs. street fighter
X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER is a crossover fighting game developed by Capcom in 1996, released for arcades, Sega Saturn (Japan only), and PlayStation 1. In collaboration with Marvel Comics, this would be the third fighting game made by the joint companies. It was the first game to introduce 2-on-2 tag team fighting in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, featuring characters from X-Men and Street Fighter respectively. The game also introduced new mechanics such as Variable Combination and Variable Counter.
The game's intro is noteworthy for its iconic handshake between Ryu and Cyclops which has been parodied by fans.
