winchester model 1873
The "Gun that Won the West", the .44 caliber Winchester Model 1873 was one of the most popular single firearms of the 19th Century, with over 700,000 sold by the time production ceased. The Model 1873 is distinguished from its predecessor, the Model 1866, by its grey-colored steel receiver, and from its successor the Model 1894 by it's size and the fact that its receiver is a squared shape, while the latter is smaller and more rounded.
