Mecha from Macross, a single-seat VF-1 Valkyrie variable fighter fitted with extra armament and propulsion packs (known as Super Packs) designed for space combat use.
In real life it was created by Kawamori Shouji in the early 80s for the first TV series (1982). Also appears prominently in its Macross: Do You Remember Love? anime film adaptation (1984).
