vektor cr-21
Vektor CR-21, or "Compact Rifle, 21st Century" is a prototype assault rifle made by Denel Land Systems of South Africa. It is essentially a Vektor R-4 mechanism in a bullpup configuration encased in a polymer casing. Because of that, the weapon actually traces its heritage to Galil, which in turn has its roots in the venerable AK-47.
Due to its polymer casing and simplified form of Kalashnikov's long-stroke piston mechanism, the gun is very light. Also, its overall smooth, curved shape gives it a very sci-fi appearance. However, because it failed to achieve sales in both domestic and international markets, it is very rare.
