ultraman tiga (series)
The 12th installment of the long-running Ultra Series, and the first entry in the Heisei era.
It introduces the concept of a "type-changing" Ultraman, as in the titular Ultra character changes forms/colors, depending on the battle.
The show also serves as a 30th anniversary celebration of the franchise, as seen in Episode 49, aptly titled, "The Ultra Star".
In 2002, the show was dubbed in English by 4Kids Entertainment, making it one of the few Ultra series dubbed in the US. The dub however, proved to be unpopular with fans, ultimately causing 4Kids to drop the show halfway through, instead opting to release an uncut, subtitled version of the series on DVD, courtesy of Funimation.
