Tower Records was a former international retail store franchise that started in the US that sold music records, CDs and collectibles. Since 2006, Tower Records is longer active due to bankruptcy with many of their US and international stores sold off or closed down. However, the brand is still active in Japan since Tower Records Japan went independent from the international brand in 2002 due to a management buyout and thus wasn't affected when the main Tower Records franchise went bankrupt.
