The fifth of the Major Arcana cards in a tarot deck.
The Hierophant is usually drawn in religious garb with a mitre and holding a triple cross, traditionally associated with the pope. Symbolic depictions of the Hierophant show him on a throne between two pillars, with worshipers at his feet.
