"Sunsastera: The teen who hates the sun and the machine that can change the weather" is an animation project by Mclelun. A boy discovers that he needs to save his new friends and the world by stopping a powerful weather control airship that spirals out of his control.

Plot Outline

Zul is a shy, quiet teen who was brought up by his overprotective single mother. He has experienced very little of the world, his whole childhood was spent in the labs of Lunacorp with his mother the inventor of Sunsastera, the world’s first weather control airship. Upon the sudden and tragic death of his mother, Zul is raised by his elderly grandfather at Bukit Tabur outside Kuala Lumpur.

Here, Sunsastera begins to communicate with Zul. The next day, Sunsastera appears at Bukit Tabur. A bond forms between the lonely teen and Sunsastera whom very much reminded Zul of his mother. At Bukit Tabur, Zul also meet a boy his age called Ming and his younger sister Mun, fun and impulsive siblings who live nearby and they gradually became friends. Initially, Sunsastera allowed Zul and his friends to use its weather control abilities.

Over time, Zul began to spend less time with Sunsastera. Sunsastera started to resent the relationship between Zul and his new friends. She started to manipulate the weather in order for them to be apart. Angry with Sunsastera, Zul accusing Sunsastera of controlling his life. Lunacorp managed to track Sunsastera and wanted it back. Lunacorp manages to forcefully subdue Sunsastera and take her back to their labs for a full reprogramming so that she could be controlled. At Lunacorp, something goes terribly wrong.

Sunsastera loses her ability to control the weather and weather conditions started to turn bad escalating until it turned violent and destructive, threatening lives. Even the full powers of Lunacorp and the military is unable to stop Sunsastera. Zul and his friends realises that he might have played a part in Sunsastera losing her control. Their only hope was to battle their way through the extreme weather conditions and find a way to go up to the airship in order to stop Sunsastera at her source.

Thus setting out on a dangerous journey in which will end in one of them making the ultimate sacrifice.
