Stepan is a male Ukrainian character belonging to the 67th Mechanized Brigade, a Right Sector-derivative unit.
He is often depicted with a jacket, baggy pants, boots, gloves, and a blue beanie. His weapon of choice is an AK-47.
Created by Biswapriya Purkayastha in 2022 to mock Ukrainian ultranationalists in the comic Tales of Ukranazistan during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. His original full name is "Ukranazi Stepan". Marichka newfound notoriety on /pol/ made Number-Seventeen draw Stepan as an aesthetically-appealing character to ship with her in a series of comics, while maintaining his rather-unbelievable backstory utterly unchanged.
LapisLumos' and Linyvets chan's contributions gave Stepan short blonde hair and greater depth, fully diverging the character from the original.
