sr-71 blackbird
An American high-speed, high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft built by Lockheed in the 1960s.
With its blue-black paint job, full-length chines [1], long shock cone inlets and inward-canted tailfins (design consequences of an early attempt at stealth), the SR-71 Blackbird has one of the most distinctive silhouettes of any aircraft.
Goes really, really fast (up to Mach 3.3) and is considered the fastest air-breathing manned military aircraft (but it is NOT a fighter jet).
