sodashi (racehorse)
Real-Life Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. Sired by Kurofune and foaled by Buchiko. Sodashi is famous for being the first white horse in the world to be a winner of a G1 race at the 2020 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies. She was also winner of the 2021 Oka Sho and the 2022 Victoria Mile. She is one of the dominant fillies of the 2021 generation, along with Uberleben (2021 Oaks) and Akaitorino Musume (2021 Shuka Sho).
Sodashi has a white coat with a few spots of dark skin around her eyes. She ran either with a white or owner-colored hood ("Kaneko" colors: black with a yellow top third and a zig-zag pattern, with blue ears).
She retired on October 1st 2023 due to leg issues, passing the torch to her little sister Mama Cocha, who had recently won that year's Sprinter Stakes.
On January 30th 2025 (but with the news released 2 weeks later), she gave birth to her first child, a (presumed) dark bay filly with a peculiarly-shaped facial marking sired by Equinox.
