shiranui (jmsdf)
Refers to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer DD-120. Not to be confused with the Imperial Japanese Navy namesake destroyer.
Launched 12 October 2017 and commissioned 27 February 2019, she is the second ship of the Asahi-class destroyers, themselves an improvement over the preceding Akizuki-class with revised radar arrangement and the inclusion of more efficient turbo-electric propulsion gear.
