sen to chihiro no kamikakushi
A 2001 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Miyazaki Hayao and produced by Studio Ghibli.
Known in America simply as Spirited Away, this movie is about a a shy and timid girl, Chihiro, whose family is moving. In the process they visit an abandoned theme park, which turns out to be the entrance to the spirit world. Trapped there, she gets a job at the local bath house, where she learns about the magnificent world of spirits. She is guided by a mysterious boy named Haku as she tries to make her way home.
It garnered the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2003, the first anime movie to win an Oscar.
