RMS-099 Rick Dias
The AEUG's first original space combat mobile suit design, taking in traditional aspects of Zeon MSs (the Rick Dom mostly) and pioneering new solutions such as the 360 degree monitors and the ejectable head-mounted cockpit. It was developed and produced by Anaheim Electronics.
A red unit was initially piloted by Quattro Bajeena, which sparked the fear of The Red Comet of old in the Titans; once the AEUG became aware of this, all subsequent Rick Dias units moved on from the old black and grey (resembling the Dom) to the new red, so as to capitalize on the psychological impact of the color.
After The Gryps War some red colored Schuzrum Dias variants were used by Neo Zeon during The First Neo Zeon War.
