ribon (shueisha)
Shueisha's shoujo manga magazine, first published in 1955. It shares rivalry with shoujo anthology books Nakayoshi and Ciao. While not as widely known as Shounen Jump overseas, the magazine has enjoyed many well-known anime adaptations of its manga over the years, and remains widely circulated to this day.
The label Ribon Mascot Comics, with its distinctive pastel four-color ribbon on their collected tankoubons, is the magazine's imprint.
