rear naked choke
The rear naked choke (RNC) is a choke hold in martial arts applied from an opponent's back, which has an optional use of body scissors to further restrain the opponent's movement.
In professional wrestling, the term "rear naked choke" refers to a grounded version of the sleeper hold with body scissors applied. This variant is used by several wrestlers such as All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor wrestler Samoa Joe (calling his RNC as the Coquina Clutch), WWE wrestlers Gunther (as the Gojira Clutch), and Shayna Baszler (as the Kirifuda Clutch). WWE wrestler Karrion Kross does a modified version of the RNC which he calls as the Kross Jacket.
In Judo, the rear naked choke is known as Hadaka-jime, one of the 36 constriction techniques of Kodokan Judo
