prinz eugen (cruiser)
Heavy cruiser of the Hipper class (second group). Laid down in 1936, launched in 1938, commissioned in 1940. One of the few major German ship to survive WWII. Handed over to the US after the war, who then used her as part of the atomic bomb testing of Operation Crossroads. Sunk afterward, the wreck was denied scrapping for fear of radioactive steel entering the world market.
