pistol-grip tool
The Pistol-Grip Tool (PGT) is a computer controlled power tool designed by NASA for use in space to operate as drill and screwdriver. It was designed for use to repair the Hubble Space Telescope and was first used in 1997 and has since become standard equipment for space EVA servicing missions. It features high torque that turns at a deliberately slow speed to be controllable in space. Astronauts can pre-set the speed, number of turns, direction, and other features for each task which it will record all actions and settings for future reference.
