piat
PIAT or Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank was a British anti-tank weapon developed during WW2 that was used by British, Commonwealth, and other allied forces during it and saw limited use afterwards during the First Indochina War and the Korean War. Unlike German Panzerschreck or American Bazooka PIAT wasn't a rocket launcher but rather a spigot mortar system which had both its own advantages (no back-blast, capable of indirect fire) and disadvantages (heavy recoil, harder to operate).
