panzer i
The first of the mass produced German tanks of the interwar period, mainly as a training model for both military and industrial known-how.
Armed with only machine guns and small in size, the type was not expected to be used in actual combat. Despite this the type served as the backbone of the German Panzer divisions in the early campaigns of World War II. The hull of the design was later used for various self-propelled guns and other support vehicles.
