oil lamp
An ancient form of lighting. The most basic oil lamps are simple clay cups filled with oil into which a wick is dipped. Later oil lamps are more ornate and made of materials such as bronze or silver (think of the "magic lamp" from Arabian Nights). See post #2458045 for an example of this type of lamp.
