moka pot
A coffee maker that looks similar to a metal kettle. It brews coffee by passing boiling water pressurized by steam through ground coffee. It is named after the Yemeni city of Mocha.
The moka pot is composed of a bottom chamber, a metal funnel shaped filter, and an upper collecting chamber. The water is boiled in the lower chamber where pressure forces it up and through the filter with the coffee grounds and into the upper collecting chamber.
