metroid larva
A metroid in it's infancy. This is the most common form ever seen, as they require highly specific environmental conditions to evolve properly.
Larvae are shaped like green jellyfish with four red nuclei inside their dome, and two sets of fangs to grip it's prey with on their underbelly. They float through the air with ease, and can carry and push things roughly their size or slightly larger. By latching onto prey and draining the life force from it, the prey disintegrates into dust if the lifeless husk is disturbed after feeding.
Not to be confused with mochtroids, which are failed clones of metroids- visually distinguishable by only one nucleus.
