The M1941 Johnson LMG, or the Johnny gun, was an American recoil-operated light machine gun designed in the late 1930s by Melvin Johnson, chambered in .30-06 Springfield. It entered service in 1940 until 1961.
The weapon is recognizable by the side-mounted curved magazine, a bipod, tubular barrel shroud with circular perforations, and a triangular front sight post.
