Introduced in Leviathan and expanded upon within Limbus Company, Identities are alternate forms of individuals from Mirror Worlds accessed by Mirror technology.

When using an Identity, the individual gains the equipment, skills, and personality of that identity. Limbus Company makes extensive use of this, allowing the Sinners to utilize different Mirror Worlds to their advantage in combat.

Young-ji initially invented the Glass Window, which was further refined by Yi Sang into the Mirror. After the League of Nine Littérateurs collapsed, the remaining members spread out throughout the City with the Mirror technology. The technology quickly came into possession of the Wings, syndicates, and other groups of the City who began researching, experimenting and improving upon it.
