liangbatou
Chinese hairstyle/headdress worn traditionally by Manchurian women during a period of the Qing dynasty - namely, through the 19th century.
The hair is wrapped around a long frame known as a bianfang to create a rigid, wingspan-like shape. The hair is then decorated with flowers and hairpins.
Examples
For the larger, more elaborate version of this headdress that came later in history, see the dalachi tag.
