Lantern floating in water.

They're often seen in Ghost Festival (Chinese Zhongyuan Jie or Japanese Obon) and some Lantern festivals such as Thailand Loi Krathong. In both Taoists and Buddhists, releasing lanterns on water is known as a ritual to transmute and absolve the sufferings of the deceased.
