la chancla
La chancla o chancleta is a Latin American word for flip-flop.
It may be also known by the names ojotas (some places in Latin America), chinela, chinelo, havaianas (all in Brazil) or tsinela (in Philippines).
Widespreadly used by Latino, Brazilian and Filipino mothers to discipline their misbehaving children by hitting them with its sole, both by hand and as a projectile.
