Kiyomizu-dera is a historic Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan, known for its wooden stage that offers panoramic views of the city and its dedication to the goddess Kannon. Established in 778, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto.
