killdozer
The "Killdozer" incident occurred on June 4, 2004, in Granby, Colorado, when Marvin Heemeyer, frustrated by local government decisions affecting his business, armored a bulldozer and went on a destructive rampage. Heemeyer's modified bulldozer, nicknamed "Killdozer," demolished 13 buildings, including the town hall and a former mayor's house, causing over $5 million in damages.
The rampage lasted about 90 minutes, and while no one else was harmed, Heemeyer took his own life when the bulldozer got stuck. This incident has since become a controversial and somewhat legendary story, with some viewing Heemeyer as a folk hero standing up against perceived injustices.
