kaori (splatoon)

Kaori is an inkling girl from the Splatoon series and was introduced in Splatoon 1. She acts as the female player mascot for the game, alongside John who is the male player mascot.

Appearance

She usually wears a pair of studio headphones, a white t-shirt, black [bike_shorts|bike shorts]] and vibrant pink sneakers with light-blue shoelaces. Her tentacle hair is also stylized in a manner that frames her face and is most frequently colored orange, though this may change depending on her team's color.

Notes & trivia

• Her official name Kaori originates from the name tag of the player wearing her gear, seen on the victory screen in the first Nintendo Direct presentation for Splatoon.
• She is also alternatively seen under the name Inky (or なかじー in Japan), used by the Amiibo version of her seen in the same video, in the section demonstrating the game's amiibo functionality.
• She shares much of her visual appearance with her manga counterpart: Headphones, though Headphones is seen wearing a Barazushi Black Tee instead of the white t-shirt.
