The Jagdpanzer IV, or Sd.Kfz. 162, was a German World War II tank destroyer based on the Panzerkampfwagen IV chassis and built in three main variants.

The Jagdpanzer IV was made to replace the Stug III as the war progressed. But there were arguments they there was a waste of Panzer IV chassis since Stug IIIs could preform their task more than adequately. Either way the Jagdpanzer IV was still produced, a total of around 2,000 of them were manufactured in total.
