Recurring containers from the Sonic the Hedgehog series containing 1ups, power-ups, Rings, and the sort. Originally taking the form of a chunky cube resembling a CRT monitor displaying a pixelated icon, after Sonic's transition to 3D platforming in Sonic Adventure, the design has since changed to futuristic-looking transparent expanding capsules with an electronic base to better display what was inside from all angles.
