I-14, is the second of the two Type-AM submarines actually completed (alongside sister-ship I-13), as portrayed in Kantai Collection. Like other submarines with numbers instead of names, she has a goroawase nickname, "Iyo".

Personality
"Iyo" has a forceful, energetic, proud, and somewhat childish personality, in stark contrast to her much meeker (and far more unfortunate) older sister, who is nicknamed "Hitomi". She is also sometimes depicted as a drunkard due to the various documented drinking parties that happened on board the historical submarine.
Appearance
I-14 has brown eyes and short black hair with bangs that come down between the eyes and a single long sidelock on her right side. I-14 wears a school swimsuit with "イ１４" emblazoned over her hip. Over this, she wears a serafuku-style shirt with a large cut-out for her chest and a neckerchief.
On her head, she wears headphones with a hat shaped like a submarine's bow. On her arms, she has a miniature submarine sail strapped to her left upper arm. Unlike her sister's, hers has an open hanger and launch catapult. She also wears partially fingerless gloves. Metal rings are on her thighs, and she wears toeless high heel boots whose heels are ship keels.
History
The historical IJN I-14 was built quite late in the war, being commissioned only on March 15th, 1945, with only five months until the end of the war. Alongside her sister ship, I-13, she was sent on a mission to transport two C6N Saiun aircraft to Truk, but I-13 did not survive. I-14 was then to perform a surprise attack alongside I-400 and I-401 upon the US naval base at Ulithi Atoll, but Japan surrendered before the mission could be completed. After surrender, the US Navy took the I-14 to Hawaii for study, and then sank her to prevent the secrets of her construction from being studied by the Soviets.
Fans have taken notice that her and I-13's hat look very similar to the Pokémon Garchomp.
