houston (kancolle)

Kantai Collection's depiction of USS Houston (CL/CA-30), which was the fifth of six Northampton-class cruiser of the United States Navy. She is named after the city of Houston, Texas. She is the game's first Allied heavy cruiser.

Visually, Houston has long light brown hair, brown eyes, and a well-endowed chest. She wears a stylized naval uniform with a corset, detached sleeves, and a black pencil skirt, a black thighband_pantyhose, shin guards, and high-heeled rudder_footwear. She also has a white peaked cap. Her machinery consists of a smokestack, a crane, and two large cannon turrets, each having three barrels. Houston has a remodelled form where torpedo launchers are added to her machinery among other upgrades and she switches to a white pencil skirt which withstands damage, in comparison to the original black skirt which seems to disintegrate upon damage.

The historical Houston was launched from Newport News, Virginia on 7 September 1929 and was sunk by torpedos in the Battle of Sunda Strait, on 1 March 1942.
