The first title in the Half-Life science fiction FPS video game series released in 1998.

Famous for being one of few mainstream, western made FPS games that were popular in Japan. It is notable because it introduced advanced gameplay mechanics, a complex story, cinematic events and immersive and realistic video game world design that has become the norm in most 3D FPS games up to this day.
