One of the main protagonists of Steel Ball Run, alongside Johnny Joestar. A competitor in the Steel Ball Run race, he possesses control over a mysterious ability known as the Spin. Bearing similarities to the Hamon martial art from JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Parts 1 and 2, it allows Gyro to imbue a powerful rotational force on the pair of steel balls he uses as weapons.

Distinctive traits include his long hair, a wide-brimmed hat with long slits in it, teeth reading "GO!GO! ZEPPELI", and a beard made from square patches of hair. He's wearing shirt with high collar and short sleeves, light cape, a light belt with a harness depicting hands pointing at groin area, 3 rings on forearms and bridal gauntlets and pants fused with boots with spurs.

In anime he wear changed final costume. It's long blonde hair male with green lips and blue eyes a wide-brimmed cowboy hat and grey goggles on headwear (in different from manga, on them just 2 lines on place of 3) with long slits in it, golden teeth reading "GO!GO! ZEPPELI", and a beard made from square patches of hair. He wear high collared purple shirt with short two-tone sleeves that colored in purple and orange, blue bridal gauntlets, orange belt with a blue harness depicting hands pointing at groin area, brown pants fused with boots and spurs on them, two holster for green steel ball, green cape, in different with manga, he doesn't have 3 rings on his forearm, but only 1, and instead of a lot of rivets on shirt, he has a small number of them in x-cross shape on shirt.
