A mecha from the Gundam franchise. It first appeared in Zeta Gundam from 1985.
The RX-178 Gundam Mk. II is a revised and much improved design of the original RX-78-2 Gundam mobile suit. While in testing under the Titans, the sinister looking dark colored prototypes were stolen by Quattro Bajeena and the AEUG with the help of Kamille Bidan, who went on to pilot the sole surviving unit before switching to his own designed mobile suit, Zeta Gundam. The unit was later repainted white while at the service of the AEUG (to evoke the iconic look of the legendary original Gundam).
It was later piloted by Emma Sheen during the Gryps Conflict, and various different members of the Gundam Team during the events of Gundam ZZ, more prominently Elle Vianno.
