A fictional alien character from the Star Wars universe.
An infant (roughly 50 years old during the events of The Mandalorian) member of Yoda's species, found by Din Djarin who then starts to watch over him. A former member of the Jedi Order, he was saved by another Jedi during order 66 and the clone trooper attack on the Jedi Temple.
Because his real name wasn't known until chapter 13 of The Mandalorian, other characters mostly referred to him as just the Child for the first 12 chapters; however, he was arguably better known among viewers by the nickname Baby Yoda.
