An even higher performing version of the already fantastic Gelgoog for use by select ace pilots. One of those few was the Crimson Lightning, Johnny Ridden, who had his unit painted in his trademark red - again, constantly being mistaken for Char Aznable in the battlefield. His unit was different in the presence of a backpack and the deeper shade of red with a black torso. Ironically enough, this constant confusion seemed to help Char, as during the Battle of A Baoa Qu the Federation troops attacked the red Gelgoog believing it to be the Red Comet, while the real one handled the Zeong.
