geforce rtx 5080

The GeForce RTX 5080 is a high-end graphics card belonging to Nvidia's RTX 50 series line and was released January 30, 2025. It is the second best performing GPU in the line, behind the GeForce RTX 5090 card.

Reception has been somewhat lackluster, particularly by reviewers, due to a lack of significant performance gains from it's predecessor the GeForce RTX 4080 Super. Additionally miring it's reception has been it's limited availability on release, price increases after the US raised tariffs on Chinese goods on February 1, 2025, hardware issues involving it's power cable, hardware defects in some units, and buggier than normal software.
