The Fusil modèle 1866 (Also known as the Chassepot) is a single-shot breech-loaded bolt action rifle that was invented in 1866 by Antoine Alphonse Chassepot and used a needle ignition mechanism to fire a wax paper cartridge, like dreyse needle gun.
