ford crown victoria
A full-sized sedan manufactured by the Ford Motor Company, the Crown Victoria was best known as the iconic police car (and taxi) for several decades. Built on Ford's Panther platform, shared with the Lincoln Town Car and Mercury Grand Marquis.
Production of the entire line completely ceased in 2012 (with the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor having already been discontinued in 2011). Cars that replaced the Crown Vic in police fleets vary by city, some common replacements being the Dodge Charger, Ford Taurus, and Chevrolet Caprice.
