The Fusil-mitrailleur Modèle 1924 M29 (or MAC 24/29) is a French light machine gun designed by Châtellerault Weapons Factory in 1924, and was adopted by the French Army in 1925. Initially chambered for the 7.5×54mm French cartridge.
Visually similar to the ZB-26 and Bren gun with top-loaded magazine, the weapon features a bipod that folds on the top of the barrel, a rectangular handguard, and a dual trigger system.
